IMRaD report differences
The style of IMRad writing is very different from papers I would write in high school. In high school, I usually wrote papers in the normal argumentative format so IMRaD is new to me. The purpose of a IMRaD report is to structure a scientific article. IMRad stands for intro, methods results, and discussion. To organize all the information those are the different sections it is split up into which is different from a APA argumentative paper because it uses different headings.
The other difference between a normal argumentative paper and a IMRaD is a IMRad is based off a experiment or a survey. This is what is used to prove your point and present a claim. While in an argumentative paper it isn't necessary to conduct a experiment.
